Columbia Bank is pleased to announce, its sponsorship of ten local businesses and non-profits. Through its membership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, a total of $50,000 Small Business Recovery Grants were awarded to support cost increases.
Columbia Bank worked alongside New Jersey small businesses and non-profits to successfully submit applications to the Federal Home Loan Bank’s Small Business Recovery Grant Program (SBRG). Through the SBRG Program, members provide grants to qualified small businesses and non-profit organizations that have been impacted by inflation, supply-chain constraints, and/or rising energy costs.
“Many businesses and non-profits are facing increased pricing as it relates to running their daily operations,” said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank. “We recognize the important role that these organizations play in our communities and are proud to be able to lessen the burden many business owners are currently feeling. By participating in the Federal Home Loan Bank’s grant program, we can support the growth and flourishment of the communities that we serve.”
The non-profit organizations and small businesses who received support include Animal Welfare Association of Vorhees, Madison Avenue Crossroads Ministry of Paterson, New Home Community Ministries of Prospect Park, Partners in Learning of Williamstown, P.I.L.O.T. Services of Berlin, Vincenza's A Cut Above of Hackensack, Servant’s Heart Ministry of Wyckoff, St. James Social Center of Newark, Chick’n Cone of Jersey City and United Way of Passaic County of Paterson, NJ.
