Columbia Bank is proud to announce its 36th Annual Golf Classic raised $100,000 to benefit Passaic County Habitat for Humanity and its mission to build and redevelop affordable homes for local residents.
On June 3, 2024, over 140 golfers participated in the annual fundraiser, which took place at Hackensack Golf Club in Emerson, NJ. “Columbia Bank has a longstanding history of supporting affordable housing needs throughout the state,” said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank. “Through our affordable loan programs, grant assistance and tenured partnerships with organizations like Passaic County Habitat for Humanity, we have been able to help residents achieve reliable and affordable housing. For decades, we have admired the positive impact Passaic County Habitat for Humanity has had on our communities and look forward to our continued partnership.”
In its 40th year of service, Passaic Habitat for Humanity has built over 300 new homes in the cities of Paterson and Passaic, renovated and repaired over 75 homes in Passaic County, and has added approximately $30 million to the City of Paterson’s tax rolls. Their dedicated team and enthusiastic volunteers ensure people have access to the transformational power of safe, stable, and affordable housing.
