Columbia Bank is proud announce, its sponsorship of ten local businesses and non-profits through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant Program (FHLBNY SBRG.) A total of $50,000 in grants were awarded to help New Jersey organizations address rising operational costs.
In collaboration with the local small businesses and non-profits, Columbia Bank facilitated the successful submission of each grant application to the FHLBNY SBRG Program. Through this initiative, the grants provide financial relief to qualified small businesses and non-profit organizations that have been impacted by challenges such as inflation, supply-chain disruptions, and/or rising energy expenses.
“These deserving grant recipients provide necessary services to our local residents and are the core of our communities,” said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank. “We are proud to help ease the financial burden many business owners are experiencing by participating in the Federal Home Loan Bank’s grant program”
The non-profit organizations and small businesses who received support include, Busy Bees Learning Center of Bloomfield, Don Ricky Colombian Bakery of Elizabeth, Elite Tax Services of Fair Lawn, Empower the Village Inc. of Cedar Knolls, Eva’s Village of Paterson, Madison Avenue Crossroads Community Ministries of Paterson, Nette, Nana and Friends LLC of Browns Mills, New Hope Community Ministries of Prospect Park, Servant’s Heart Ministry Inc. of Wyckoff, and Passaic County Habitat for Humanity of Paterson.
